The 59th annual Dodge City Days Parade will Strike Up the Band at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27.

Presented by the Dodge City AMBUCS, this year's parade and Dodge City Days theme is in honor of the 140th anniversary of the Dodge City Cowboy Band.

The Cowboy Band will be this year's parade marshal.

Because of construction at the Dodge City Civic Center, there will be a slight change to the start of the parade.

According to Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce events director Joni Wittman, the lineup for the parade will be between 6th Avenue and Central Avenue on Soule Street.

The parade will start at Central and Soule and the parade participants will go south on Central Avenue to Comanche Avenue; west on Comanche Avenue to 2nd Avenue; south on 2nd Avenue to Gunsmoke Street; west on Gunsmoke Street to 3rd Avenue; south on 3rd Avenue to Wyatt Earp Boulevard; east on Wyatt Earp Boulevard to south 2nd Avenue; south on south 2nd Avenue to Market Street; then west on Market Street to the Roundup Arena.
