August is ending, and with that comes the monthly Final Friday events and activities throughout downtown Dodge City.

Starting from 5 to 7 p.m., Carnegie Center for the Arts will feature works from artists Scott and Joni Reiter and photography from Mike Umschied.

The Reiters grew up in Iowa and have been married since 1985. According to their bio, Joni Reiter loves many types of art mediums, from charcoal to acrylics, while Scott Reiter enjoys all types of photography, from macro to landscapes.

Mike Umschied is an operational meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Dodge City forecasting the weather since 2002. In 2005, Umschied began storm photography during his many travels covering storms across the state.

His work ranges from a tornado over an open wheat field to sunsets rich in color as a storm drifts across the landscape.
