There will be some changes for the 18th annual Parade of Lights and Chili Cook Off this year.
The biggest change will be the parade route due to construction at Boot Hill Museum wrapping up.
This year, the parade will start on Park Street and Santa Fe Avenue, heading north on Santa Fe Avenue to west Trail Street; then turn east on Trail Street to 4th Avenue then south on 4th Avenue through Wright Park to 2nd Avenue; north on 2nd Avenue to Wyatt Earp Boulevard then turn west on Wyatt Earp Boulevard to 3rd Avenue.
The parade will then go north on 3rd Avenue to Front Street and east on Front Street to 1st Avenue; turn north on 1st Avenue passing Eisenhower Park to Spruce Street; then west on Spruce Street to disperse at 3rd Avenue and Spruce Street.
Floats will continue heading west to First Christian Church parking lot to disperse.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m.
For the chili cook off at Eisenhower Park, chili judging will be at 4 p.m. with sampling starting at 5 p.m.
The virtual reality sleigh ride with Santa returns this year and will be from 5 to 8 p.m.
The tree lighting by the mayor will be at 5:45 p.m.
