Adding to the list of postponements and closings due to COVID-19, United Wireless Arena and Dodge City Public Library announced changes to an upcoming show and daily operations for the library.

According to UWA and Jeff Dunham, the April 3 show has been moved to Thursday June 11.

A Facebook post from the arena from Dunham said, "As most of you are aware, things are a bit nuts out there right now. So due to the threat of the COVID-19, plus the many Executive Orders being placed across the country regarding mass gatherings, my show at the United Wireless Arena in Dodge City, been postponed.

"Hang on to your tickets, as they will be honored on that new date. Let’s all hope we’re free and clear by then and back to making some fun.

"Also, watch online for a few videos from us with things to do while there’s nothing to do! Hang in there America! We’ll get through this."

The rescheduled show will begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.

UWA said that they will honor current ticket holders for the new date.

DCPL also announced they have shut down operations for the week of March 16-23 to the public.

The library has stated they will reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday March 23.

"Our book drops will be open and fines forgiven during this period," said library staff. "We want to keep everyone safe and healthy; therefore, we are closing for the week to mitigate the spread of illness."
