Mid-America Workforce Summit staff has postponed the 2021 event for a later date due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

"While disappointing, this is a necessary step in keeping summit staff, attendees, exhibitors, and presenters safe during these unprecedented times," Western Kansas Manufacturers Association president Eddie Estes said in a news release. "Summit staff are currently working on rescheduling the event and are excited to swing into full gear when the new dates are announced."

The summit had been originally scheduled for Jan. 20-21, 2021.

The Kansas Workforce Summit brings together organizations and individuals in the fields of education, employment and training, economic development and energy with the goal of providing a clearer understanding of the needs in the workforce.

Those registered for the 2021 summit will receive a full refund.
