Junior Noah Sowers, senior Hunter Heath and sophomore Chidera Okoro highlight area basketball players that made their all-conference or all-league teams near Dodge City this week.

In the Western Athletic Conference, Sowers and Okoro were First-Team selections, while Hunter Heath earned a Second-Team selection.

In the Southern Plains - Iroquois Activities Association, Spearville senior Nathan Heeke, junior Kolby Stein, Hodgeman County senior Trevor Morgan, South Gray senior Gilbert Peters and South Gray junior Clifton Miller all earned SPIAA All League 1st Team selections on the boys side.

Others on the team included Pawnee Heights junior Kade Scott and South Central sophomore Owen Alexander.

On the girls team, Spearville sophomore Ehlaina Hartman, Bucklin junior Tricia Hokanson, South Gray senior Emily Salmans, South Gray junior Hannah Askew and Ingalls junior Ashlyn Cure all made the SPIAA All League 1st Team.

Others included Kiowa County junior Brecken VandenHoek, South Central senior Rylee Alexander and South Central junior Bri Rutherford.

2nd Team selections on the boys side included South Gray junior Austin Jantz. On the girls side, Hodgeman County senior Camille Bradshaw, senior Tori Setzkorn, South Gray sophomore Christy Wiebe and Spearville freshman Alissa Heskamp received 2nd Team selections.

Lastly, in the Hi-Plains All-League 1st Team, Cimarron’s Jaylen Pickle earned a selection on the boys side, while Cimarron’s Taylor Jantz earned both a 1st Team selection and Player of the Year recognition. She was just one of three unanimous selections on either boys or girls 1st Teams. She was the only unanimous selection the girls 1st Team.

Cimarron’s Cameren Bartlett received a selection onto the Hi-Plains All-League 2nd Team.
