Kansas State women’s soccer and tennis have expanded their staffs this offseason with the addition of Chelsey Frihart in the role of Director of Soccer and Tennis Operations for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
Frihart makes the transition to her new role from within K-State Athletics. Frihart served as the Assistant Director of Hospitality and Special Events from 2013 until this summer.
“Chelsey will be massive for our program,” said Dibbini regarding Frihart’s role with the team and staff.
“She will allow the coaching staff to focus on more of the coaching, managing, development and recruiting aspects of our program. She will take a lot off of our plates and will be the perfect fit to help manage our day to day operations. We are excited to add her wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the Kansas State women’s soccer program.”
A 2012 graduate of Kansas State with a degree in business administration and a minor in leadership studies, Frihart also was an events assistant with the KSU Foundation from 2012 to the summer of 2013.
“I am very excited to have Chelsey join our tennis program,” stated K-State tennis head coach Jordan Smith. “During our search for this position, Chelsey displayed all of the qualities we were looking for in a new director of operations. She’s had experience working with our team in various capacities and will be a tremendous asset to us. We are looking forward to having her continue the overall success and support for our student-athletes.”
Within her new role as the Director of Women’s Soccer and Tennis Operations, Frihart will be responsible for coordination of staff and team travel, money and budget management, organization of official and unofficial recruiting visits, facility and officials reservations and team equipment purchases.
