The Dodge City A’s baseball team has played its final game this summer.
Despite beating Lonestar Baseball and the Seattle Suds, going 2-1 in pool play, the A’s finished in a three-way tie atop their pool, but lost by run-differential tiebreaker, and the A's ended up as the team left out from advancing, according to a post on the A’s Facebook page.
Overall, the A’s finished with a 26-15 record in 2018.
In the post, the A’s thanked their the community for its support.

Thank you to all of our sponsors for allowing us to give the gift of baseball to the community of Dodge City! Thank you to our host families for opening your homes and giving our players a home away from home! Thank you to all of our fans for your loyal support and enthusiasm!” the post reads in part. “We look forward to another great year in 2019.”
