For the first time this year, the Conquistador women's soccer team shutout its opponent as they defeated Pratt Community College by a score of 3-0 on Monday afternoon.
Three different players scored goals in the game, including, Ruby Grajales, Alejandra Arreola and D'Ana Prieto.
With the only goal in the first half, Grajales was able to find the ball in the box and strike the ball to the back of the net, quickly giving Dodge City a 1-0 lead.
After the intermission, precision passing by the Conquistadors, gave them their second goal of the game, just 16 minutes into the second half as Marcela Martinez eventually found Arreola for the open shot which found the back of the net to give Dodge City a 2-0 lead.
Prieto then iced the game just two minutes later as she had a strike with her right foot to give Dodge City a 3-0 win.
The Conquistadors are now 2-3-1 on the year and will be in action again on Wednesday, Sept. 12, as they host Northwest Kansas Technical College at 2 p.m., at Memorial Stadium.
