The Dodge City Community College Conquistadors men's golf team finished 11th at the National Junior College Athletic Association National Golf Tournament last week, shooting a combined 16-over par 1168 through the tourney's four rounds at the Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida.

Saksit Jairak shot an even-par 72 Friday, while Danny Taggart and Anupon Wandee tied for the Conqs' best fourth-round scores, each shooting at 1-under par 71. Stanley Lewis shot a 6-over-par 78, and Logan Durst shot a 3-over par 75.

The round for the Conqs was highlighted by Jairak's bogey-free front nine. He finished the front even-par.

Logan Durst had the team's lone, final-round eagle, taking advantage of the par-5 11th, recording a 3 on that hole. He followed it up, however with five straight bogeys, finishing the back-nine three over par after recording an even-par front nine.

The men's tournament finished just a day after the women's tournament, which was held from May 13-16 in Daytona Beach Florida.

Tanyaporn Chothirunpanit, Napaknaree Sirithorn and Suthasinee Sridet competed as individuals from the Conqs in the women's tournament.

Chothirunpanit shot a 25-over par 241 through the three-day tournament, finishing the tournament with a 10-over par 82 Thursday. Sirithorn shot a 3-over par 75, and Sridet shot an 11-over-par 83 the final day.

The three Conqs finished 17th, 18th, and tied for 27th, respectively.
