From yoga at the Topeka Zoo's Kay McFarland Japanese Garden to a fiesta at one of Topeka's oldest bars, this week is packed with events for all.

Here is our list of the top five events happening this week in Topeka.

1. Brass Rail Fiesta

This is the perfect event for music and food lovers. Our Lady of Guadalupe Church will be serving food 4-11 p.m. July 30 and 31. Oz Zuniga will perform at 5:30 p.m. followed by Serrano Peppers at 7:30 p.m. July 30.

Las Estrellas will perform at 7 p.m. followed by Mike Gonzalez and the Iconiczz at 9:15 p.m. July 31.

This event will be held at the Brass Rail Tavern, 401 N.E. Emmett St.

2. The Big Snail comedy show

The Big Snail show

If you are in need of a laugh, look no further than this standup-style comedy show. The Big Snail is a Chicago-based comedy troupe. One of the group's members, Claire Sundbye, is a Topeka native. 

The comedy show will take place at 7:30 p.m. July 31 at the Jayhawk Theatre, 720 S.W. Jackson St. Tickets are $16 online and $20 at the door. 

Tickets can be purchased at and the show is meant for mature audiences only. 

Food and drinks will be provided by Oleander Cafe and Norsemen Brewing Co. 

3. 'Dr. Dolittle Jr.'

Searching for a kid-friendly theater production? "Dr. Dolittle" is the musical for your family. 

"Dr. Dolittle Jr." will debut July 30 at Topeka Civic Theatre with additional performances during the week July 31 and Aug. 1. The show runs through Aug. 15.

"Dr. Dolittle Jr." follows everyone's favorite doctor who can talk to animals as he travels the world. When he attempts to help a seal named Sophie and is accused of murder, he must prove himself innocent so he can continue his search for the great pink sea snail.

4. Yoga in the Garden

Topeka yoga instructor will host Yoga in the Garden at the Topeka Zoo 6:30 p.m. July 27.

This yoga class will have you leaving feeling relaxed and with your chakras aligned. 

Topeka yoga instructor Kathy Damron will lead this class at 6:30 p.m. July 27 at Kay McFarland Japanese Garden, 635 S.W. Gage Blvd.

5. Vinewood Market

What is better than spending the day outdoors perusing through craft vendors and a flea market?

The market will take place at The Vinewood, 2848 S.E. 29th St.

Vendors from across Kansas will travel to Topeka to take part in this market, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 31 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 1. 

Food and drink, including bar service, will be available during the market.
