City utility building fire under investigation

The City of Dodge City Utility/Water building located at 703 W. Trail caught fire around 4 a.m. the morning of April 15. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Kansas State Fire Marshal. There were no injuries as a result; however, the total damage to the building is unclear at this time.
According to city officials, staff for public works and the airport have been transitioned to City Hall for temporary offices. For service inquires please call 620-225-8100 as the existing number is not currently in service.
The City of Dodge City is working to ensure that there are no service interruptions during this time.
