Kansas State football aims to shake its three-game losing skid on Saturday as the Wildcats host Big 12 foe Texas Tech.

Kansas State (3-3, 0-3 in the Big 12) has yet to win a conference game after starting the win with three consecutive non-conference victories. Last week, the Wildcats fell 33-20 against Iowa State. The Kansas State defense struggled to stop Iowa State's ground game, as Cyclone running back Breece Hall erupted for 197 yards and a pair of scores. Offensively, quarterback Skylar Thompson (15-for-23, 206 yards, two touchdowns and one interception) led the Wildcat offense.

For Texas Tech (5-2, 2-2 in the Big 12), the Red Raiders have their sights set on bowl eligibility, should a win come against Kansas State. Texas Tech coasted to a 41-14 win over Kansas on Oct. 16. In that game, the Red Raiders ran for 244 yards on a balanced rushing attack. Ten different players carried the ball at least once, with five players totaling at least 20 yards.

Kansas State Wildcats running back Deuce Vaughn (22) runs against Iowa State Cyclones linebacker Mike Rose (23) during the first quarter, Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at the Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas.
