Family and friends mourn the loss of Verla Carlin Haley It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Verla Carlin Haley on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Born September 25, 1933, in Ford, Verla graduated from Ford High School and married Kenneth Lee Haley in 1951 at the Ford Kansas Methodist Church.

DCCC: Men’s basketball caps historic season in Elite Eight of National Tournament

Dodge City men’s basketball team capped a historic season with a tough loss in the Elite Eight of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Hutchinson falling 92-74 to Northwest Florida State. The loss finishes the season at 30-5 for the Conquistadors as they cap a year filled with accomplishments including first KJCCC title since 2007, first Region VI title since 1982, and first trip to Hutchinson and National Tournament since 1974, while also setting a school record for wins in a single season with 30.
