Chamber Hosts Coffee at Ford County RSVP

The Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a coffee at the Ford County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program office on Tuesday, March 8. At the event, Doug Hart was recognized for his 17 years of service as an RSVP bus driver. Former standouts to present game balls and awards

TOPEKA, Kan. – Throughout the 2021-22 school year the Kansas State High School Activities Association has been and will continue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX. Saturday, March 12, the KSHSAA will take another step to recognize those individuals who have shown us success and leadership in girls’ sports with their inclusion of the presentation of game balls and awards before and after the championship games.

Allegations of market manipulation in Winter Storm Uri stir support for deep-dive inquiry

TOPEKA — Kansas Electric Cooperatives representative Leslie Kaufman is likely to view any weather anomaly tagged with the name Uri as a pseudonym for financial menace. Kaufman joined a chorus of energy and political interests Tuesday by endorsing a Kansas House resolution urging full investigation of the winter ice storm Uri in February 2021 that resulted in blackouts for 10 million people in the United States and Mexico and placement of 170 million Americans under weather alerts by the National Weather Service.

Dodge City Wrestling Academy sending 27 to state finals

Dodge City Wrestling Academy took part in the USAWKS 2022 District 4 Championships this past week and the wrestlers did a great job. The DCWA had 34 wrestlers take part in the meet and 27 of them are heading to compete for state. As a team, DCWA was able to finish 5th out of 41 teams. Listed below are the wrestlers qualifying for the 2022 State Wrestling Championship!
