DCHS bowling results

This year the Dodge City High school has a few bowlers qualified for the state tournament. In order to qualify for the state tournament, participants need to have to be one of the top 3 teams or be a top 6 individuals of non-qualifying teams at their regional meet to make it to state.

Spring Wrens in Kansas

This week I heard the distinctive “pretty, pretty, pretty” spring song of a male cardinal, and Joyce saw her first robin. Usually when you begin to hear those boys singing, and start to see robins braving the cold winds, winter is at least showing us it’s backside as it prepares to take its first steps away from us. I also watched an interesting scenario from our kitchen window.

Long-term care providers say comprehensive solutions needed for workforce issues in Kansas

TOPEKA — Kansas care providers and advocates are working to find solutions addressing workforce issues exacerbated by the pandemic, further complicating access to services for elderly patients. The Kansas Senior Care Task Force heard Friday from representatives of health care organizations and providers on the issue faced in the senior care arena and where solutions may be found.
