DODGE CITY- Roland “George” Kerbs died peacefully in his sleep on his 72nd n birthday of a heart attack on Monday, March 7, 2022 at his home in Dodge City, Kansas. He was born in Greeley, Colorado the son of Reuben and Frieda (Winder) Kerbs.

DCCC Tech Hosts Career Fair

Dodge City Community College Tech hosted a Career Fair from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 26. At the event, representatives from seven area employers were on hand to discuss career paths with DCCC tech students. Businesses participating in the fair included American Implement, Central Plains Equipment LLC, KanEquip Inc., Lewis Automotive Group, Seaboard Foods, Trivista Companies, and Truck Center Companies. DCCC: Men’s golf finishes fourth at district championships, qualify for nationals

The key to success is consistency and the Dodge City men’s golf team is a prime example of that, as they have successfully qualified for the NJCAA National Championship for the 32nd straight year. The Conquistadors put together a fourth-place team finish at the Central District/Region VI Championship tournament in Hastings, Neb.

Dodge City top the list as state’s most charming town

A travel website announced this week a 50-state catalog of the most charming towns across the nation and Dodge City is it for Kansas. Trips to Discover, an online travel discovery platform, wants to inspire people to travel more by helping them discover their next travel destination, according to a press release from Justin Wilson, marketing coordinator for the city of Dodge City.

Celebrating Easter with Family

April has brought us a week of cooler temperatures, with the ground covered with snow one morning. It didn’t last long, and the green grass is again showing. The rhubarb and tea plants are growing as well as all the early spring flowers. We look forward to warmer weather coming to stay for the summer months ahead.
