Looking to get back in the win the Dodge City baseball team started another KJCCC four-game series this time opening at home against the top team in the KJCCC West Division the Colby Trojans. The Conquistadors would snap a seven-game losing streak in game one snagging a 6-5 win over the Trojans but would fall in a tough 13-8 battle in game two to the doubleheader split.
The Red Demons girls swimming team opened the year with a second-place finish in Garden City. Garden City had a strong showing as they secured a first-place finish with 628 points, Dodge City had 517 points.
