Middle School Sports: football camp
Football camp season is in full swing across the state and this week in Dodge City coach Glenn O’Neil is getting athletes ready with his annual camp for middle schoolers. “We had between 42-45 on the first day of camp,” O’Neil said.
Super train pains coming around the bend

Paris Nicole Carmona
Our daughter, Paris Nicole Carmona, passed away unexpectedly, at the young age of 17, due to intracerebral brain hemorrhage after bravely fighting for 2 weeks in Intensive Care. Paris was born on August 26, 2004 in Dodge City, Kansas to Shawn and Kelly (Schroeder) Carmona and proud older brother, Roman.
DCRP: Two dedicated tractor lanes welcome pullers
The National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) and Dodge City Raceway Park (DCRP) present the Wild West NTPA Grand Nationals -- two nights of competition July 8 and 9. General Sports: 2022 Kansas Amateur Qualifier at Mariah Hills
Mariah Hills Golf course hosted one of the qualifying events across the state on June 28. This event features over forty golfers across the state and several participants from the area or with ties to Dodge City Community College.
Salvation Army receives charitable gift from ITC Great Plains for thrift store relocation, expansion
The Salvation Army of Dodge City is pleased to announce that it received a $10,000 charitable gift from ITC Great Plains, a transmission-only utility, on Thursday, June 23 for the relocation and expansion of its Thrift Store from its current location on Avenue E to 1500 East Wyatt Earp Blvd.
