Opening in March 1928, the 115 room Lora-Locke Hotel was called a “Twentieth Century Marvel.” Its rooms were luxurious, and it had the atmosphere of a fancy East Coast hotel.
Theresa Rust never got to see her sister Erin Jones perform with the Boot Hill Repertory Company while she was alive. Jones grew up in southwest Kansas and performed on stage in several productions with what now known as the Depot Theater Company.
The Dodge City USD 443 Board of Education approved some key revisions to the high school dress code at its July 11 meeting. Board president Lisa Killion, vice president Tammi West and board members Ryan Ausmus, Jamey Lewis Gonzales, Traci Rankin and Jeff Hiers were present.
