Governor updates declaration of drought emergency, warnings, watches for Kansas counties
Governor Laura Kelly has approved updated drought declarations for Kansas counties with Executive Order #22-08. This drought declaration continues to keep all 105 Kansas counties either in watch, warning or emergency status.
DCCC: Top 20 finish by Supakit Seelanagae leads Conqs’ performance at Big-O Classic Against NCAA DI competition
For the second time this fall season the Dodge City men’s golf competed at a tournament full of NCAA Division I programs and would hold their own against the topflight competition. The Conquistadors competed against 12 NCAA DI schools and also fellow KJCCC team Hutchinson at the Big-O Classic in Elkhorn, Nebraska hosted by the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Dodge City Commissioners explain and endorse sales tax increase
Dodge City Mayor Kent Smoll and City Commissioners Michael Burns and Chuck Taylor promoted the city-wide half-a-percent sales tax increase proposal to fund street improvements at a public town hall meeting held at the Dodge City Public Library Wednesday, Oct. 5.
