McGrath Consulting advises DCPD

The Dodge City Globe filed an open records request for the results of a McGrath Consulting assessment of the Dodge City Police Department the city paid $44,772 for in 2022. Here is the executive summary of those results: McGrath Consulting Group, Inc., an organization that specializes in public sector consulting, was contracted by the City of Dodge City, Kansas to conduct a Police Operational and Management Assessment.

Feb. 18, 2023 Dear Friends … After all the “fan”fare leading up to and following the amazing Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory, it would be hard to come up with any 2023 Week 6 Legislative highlight to even be part of the discussion with our beloved World Champions. Accordingly, I will simply demur on that and let it be known there is “talk” about getting some of the players here for a congratulatory Floor Tribute in the near future like we did last year for the National Champion KU Jayhawks basketball team. Of course, there is also “talk” of luring the Chiefs over to the Kansas side to a new Arrowhead Stadium, but that might have been just a political inducement to getting a big economic incentive package passed. Let me instead -- as we near the hard-to-believe halfway or “Turnaround” point of the Session -- focus on two prominent committee-level measures from this week that in their own way will have a direct impact on something called “power.”

1 pound precooked ham, sausage, or bacon or a combination of meats 8 ounces grated cheese 8 eggs 3/4 cup flour 4 tablespoons butter 3 cups milk 1 teaspoon salt In a greased 9 x 13-inch pan, make a layer of meat and top with cheese. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce promised thousands of fans celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl championship Wednesday that the team will be back for more. During a boisterous victory rally at downtown’s Union Station after a parade, Mahomes and Kelce joked about “experts” who predicted the just-concluded NFL season would be a rebuilding year for the Chiefs, who defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 on Sunday.
