Dodge City USD 443 sends teaching duo to contend for Kansas Teacher of the Year title

With a stated mission to build a network of exemplary teacher to leader the improvement of schools, student performance and their noble profession the Kansas Teacher of the Year program announced in a press release this week that Dodge City USD 443 has not one, but two, such educators who fit the bill this year.

Smithsonian exhibit travels to Boot Hill Museum, provides guests an immersive multimedia experience

Something timely and new at Boot Hill Museum asks guests, “What does Democracy mean to you?” with the larger-than-life traveling exhibit “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America.” The Mariah Gallery seems to unfold broadsheet- shaped storyboards that are curved, colorful and eye-catching so guests can free flow along the non-linear story. Perhaps the color pops and multi-media kiosks that play sounds of yesteryear’s rally cries will help stem the tide Miss Kitty feels pulling her to kick the 2023 season into high gear! (The Long Branch Variety Show opens May 27.) Museum Curator Keith Wondra said “Voices and Votes” is just the first of three traveling exhibits the Mariah Gallery will play host to throughout the year.
