Dodge City softball opened KJCCC play with a doubleheader sweep of Northwest Kansas Tech earning 19-3 and 17-7 victories both in five innings. The wins move the Conquistadors to 5-5 on the season and 5-1 in their last six games, while giving the Conqs a 2-0 start to conference play.

But the term itself is imprecise and has a broad meaning. The Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner, a division of the Kansas Insurance Department, does not directly regulate cryptocurrency. However, the Department does have regulatory jurisdiction over securities products that are related to cryptocurrencies.

The Kansas Senate voted to remove all state and local sales taxes on food next year, in a last-minute reversal of an earlier proposal to curtail sales tax reductions for unhealthy food. Senators voted to eliminate the food sales tax Thursday during a Senate debate, advancing an amended version of Senate Bill 248 by a 22-16 vote.
