Tom Brady to buy stake in Raiders

Recently retired and seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady will become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, pending NFL approval, principal owner Mark Davis told ESPN on Monday. “We’re excited for Tom to join the Raiders, and it’s exciting because he will be just the third player in the history of the National Football League to become an owner,” Davis said.

MARY JOAN “JODY” WILSON

Cimarron - Mary Joan “Jody” Wilson, 81, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on May 11, 2023 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita. She was born on July 1, 1941 at Ingalls, Kansas the daughter of C.W. and Hazel (Sapp) Flowers. She considered herself a lifelong resident of Cimarron and was a graduate of Cimarron High School and attended Kansas Wesleyan and University of Kansas. She married Carl “Jim” Flake on March 7, 1961. She married Ivan Eugene Wilson on October 2, 1976 and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2014. Mrs. Wilson and her husband Ivan were co-owners of CW’s Restaurant in Cimarron and was later the executive director of the Farm Service Agency. A founding board member of the Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron, she served as its president for 10 years. She was a member of Cimarron United Methodist Church and active volunteering and serving in many roles within the church. She was preceded in death by her parents CW and Hazel Flowers, stepdaughter Karla Housman, sister Judy K. Flowers and two brothers, Steven Flowers and Stan Flowers. Survivors include her sons, Aaron Flake of Cimarron, Alex Flake and his wife Tracy of Wichita, Anson Flake and wife Katie, Enola, Pennsylvania. Stepdaughter, Krista Wilson Monical and husband Jeff, Cimarron and stepson Kent Wilson and wife Shirl, Marion, Iowa. She had 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and she loved them all and believed that each was born to accomplish great things in this world. Memorial service will be held at Cimarron Christian Church on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Michael Keating presiding. There is no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Cimarron Methodist Church or The Shepherd’s Center in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel.
