Ross Elementary welcomes Assistant Principal Medrano

Dodge City Public Schools is pleased to announce that Carla Medrano has been named Assistant Principal at Ross Elementary. Medrano was born and raised in Dodge City and attended Dodge City Public Schools K-12. After receiving her Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University in 2013, she returned to her hometown to teach. Medrano received her Master of Science in education administration from Fort Hays State University in December 2019.

Ford County 4-H plants roots in Dodge City

Someone forgot to send Mother Earth a note about the 4-H Earth Day/ Arbor Day Community Service Project that took place on Earth Day, Saturday April 22, 2023. It was a balmy 37 degrees with 30mph winds but that didn’t stop nearly 20 members of the Ford County 4-H Council from zipping up their coats, pulling on their gloves and using their hands for greater service to their Community, their Country and their World by planting 7 trees. The 7 Eastern Redbud trees, representing each of the seven 4-H groups in Ford County, were planted in front of the Long Branch Lagoon here in Dodge City, KS.
