BBB’s Military Line helps military families that scammers target

America’s thoughts turn to those who lost their lives in service to our nation this Memorial Day. It’s appropriate to reflect upon the sacrifices that are made by military members, as well as their families. The needs of all such military families are of concern to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and this weekend BBB focuses on another sort of challenge they confront: the unscrupulous attempts by scammers to take advantage of them.

DCCC: Four Conquistador baseball players earn KJCCC West All-Conference Honors

Dodge City baseball team finished fifth in the KJCCC West Division and put together a 29-30 record on the season going 18-14 in KJCCC play. Multiple guys contributed in great ways throughout the season and four players have been honored with KJCCC All-Conference honors as the quartet of Brian Hallum, Andrew Detlefsen, Caden Matlon, and Justus Revill earned honorable mention All-KJCCC honors.

Respecting the cost of freedom

In the shadows of veteran memorials erected in towns and cities across the United States this weekend, Americans can find veterans gathered to remember and revere their fallen comrades in simple, honest observances. There likely will not be much fanfare for those who gave so much in order that our generation and those beyond experience a life of freedom.

DCCC: Thirteen Dodge City athletes named CSC Academic All-District

Success in the classroom along with in their respective is what all student-athletes strive and some student-athletes at Dodge City Community College have achieved that in big ways. Thirteen Conquistador student-athletes from the sports of softball, women’s basketball, women’s soccer, cross country/track and field, men’s soccer, baseball, and men’s golf have been earned to the 2023 Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators in the college division at-large.
