Men’s basketball drops season opener to McCook

The 2024-25 season tipped off for the Dodge City men’s basketball team and it was a cold shooting night that would doom the Conquistadors in the season opener against McCook as they fell 78-67.The loss drops the Conqs to 0-1 on the season with a pair of non-conference contests looming on Friday and Saturday, November 8th-9th in Garden City against North Platte and Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa as the classic hosted by Garden City.It was a slow start for both teams on the night as the contest didn’t see points until nearly two minutes.

Four men’s soccer players earn KJCCC All-Conference Honors

Dodge City men’s soccer closed out their first season under Head Coach, Juan Espinal, and four Conquistadors have earned All-conference honors in the KJCCC for their performances this season.The Conqs posted a 5-12-2 record this season and finished sixth in the KJCCC and the quartet of Cristobal Juan Berrios, Soma Kanazawa, David Garcia, and Geovanni De Luna earned All-Conference honors.

Volleyball sweeps Hutch in first round of playoffs to advance to semifinals

For the third straight year, the Dodge City volleyball team will be playing in the Semifinals of the playoffs after sweeping Hutchinson 3-0 in the first round of the NJCAA Division I Plains District playoffs at home.The Conquistadors picked up a convincing win over the Blue Dragons 25-21, 25-16, 25-11 for the first-ever sweep in the series of Hutchinson in rally scoring era, while also making it four-straight wins over the Blue Dragons.
