The Lions Club honored local scholarship recipients with a dinner banquet April 17 in the Dodge City Senior Center. The Dodge City High School boys golf program put together an impressive showing on both the varsity and junior varsity fronts last week.

For college football fans across generations, Saturdays in the fall haven’t truly begun until Lee Corso donned a mascot head and uttered his signature phrase: “Not so fast, my friend.” But after nearly four decades as the beloved face of ESPN’s College GameDay, Corso is set to call it a career. The network announced Thursday that Corso will retire after his final broadcast on August 30, marking the start of the 2025 college football season.
Last week, the National Baseball Congress (NBC) announced that the championship game of the 2025 NBC World Series will return to downtown Wichita, reigniting a rich tradition that dates back more than 80 years.

In a matchup that will be talked about for the rest of the season, the Storm stunned the previously undefeated Tritons 47-40 in a high-octane thriller at American Bank Arena. With their backs against the wall and needing a win to maintain a winning record, the Storm delivered in the most dramatic fashion imaginable.
