The Dodge City Lady Demons put together a dominant performance Thursday night, sweeping Liberal in three sets with strong stretches of momentum and consistent execution on both sides of the ball.

Cimarron’s running game was unstoppable Friday night as the Bluejays cruised to a 31-7 victory over Lakin, with senior standout McCoy Nash leading the charge. Nash torched the Broncs’ defense for 247 rushing yards and three touchdowns, averaging an eye-popping 12.4 yards per carry. His performance has him now averaging 122 rushing yards per game on the season, cementing his role as one of the area’s premier backs.

Hodgeman County kept its undefeated season rolling Friday night with a commanding 52-6 victory over the St. John Tigers, leaving little doubt from the opening quarter. The Longhorns set the tone early and had the game firmly in hand by halftime, leading 30-6 before cruising through the second half to move to 4-0 on the year.

For whatever reason, the away team has had the edge when Dodge City and Liberal meet, and that trend held true again on Friday as the Liberal Redskins defeated the Dodge City Demons 31-22.
