Arno G. Kroeker

LEAVENWORTH – Arno Gerhart Kroeker, 87, longtime resident of Dodge City, died November 25, 2021 at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on October 28, 1934 at Dodge City, the son of Peter W. and Helen (Seibert) Kroeker.

After his service in the Air Force during the Korean War Arno traveled America up until he went home to heaven. He loved his family and gave everything to them often sacrificing his own comforts. He was always a kind and gentle, heavenly spirited man. He loved God and The Lords amazing creations in nature that existed long before science had ever found them. He has almost 1000 years of recorded full blooded, ancestry that dates back to 12th century Friesland through the reformation and the holocaust, the family always standing strong for Jesus Christ. His family migrated and naturalized to“The New World” in the 1880s. All of his family line, three generations, who came before him and many after, have now been laid to rest within 60 miles of Dodge City. All of this, he has passed to his son, whom he loved dearly. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leavenworth and was a devoted Christian.

Arno is survived by his son John Kroeker of Leavenworth and grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM with pastor Kirk Larson presiding.
