Patricia Suzanne Bird

DODGE CITY – Patricia Suzanne Bird, 94 died Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Presbyterian Manor of the Plain in Dodge City, Kansas.

She was born on January 28, 1928 the daughter of Jay H. and Iva Mae (Davis) Fimple at Wichita, Kansas. She was a former resident of Garden City and Deerfield moving to Dodge City in 2016.

Pat attended the Deerfield Methodist Church in Deerfield. She also was a member of Friends of the Zoo, Garden City. She was active in gardening and loved Iris’. She was often found painting and even won an award this year for the 2022 Calendar competition “Art is Ageless”. She loved spending time with her family, sewing and traveling.

On December 12, 1946 she married Norman Scott “Bill” Bird. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1996.

She is survived by, her daughter, Connie Penick, Dodg City; her son, Philip Bird and wife Kim, Rosehill, Kansas; 7 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael J. Bird, 2 sisters, JoAnn Watts and Peggy Sue Miller.

Private family graveside services will be held at a late date at the Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield Kansas.
