DODGE CITY- Carol A. Koehn, 76, died peacefully Saturday, August 13, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was born April 20, 1946 in Dodge City, the daughter of Ray and Dorothy (Bailey) Richardson. She was a graduate of Dodge City High School and a lifetime Dodge City resident. Carol was a fiercely dedicated wife and mother. She and Wes raised their daughters to know God’s perfect love.

She was married at and was an active member of the First Christian Church, Dodge City. As a member of the church she used her gifts to share her faith with anyone placed in her path.

On May 16, 1965, she married the love of her life, Wesley and the two were inseparable, enjoying life, side by side.

Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Wes; 2 daughters, Marci Shearon and husband Jeff, Hutchinson and Kris Woofter and husband Marc, Cheney; 4 grandchildren, Genare Woofter and wife Cassie, Jaden Woofter, Shelby Shearon and Jordan Shearon and wife Chanteau; 1 great granddaughter, Harlow Ann Shearon; and 2 sisters, Karen Ehrlich, Surprise, Arizona and Connie Austin and husband Kenny, Dodge City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gene Richardson and brother-in-law Duane Ehrlich.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 am Friday, August 19, 2022 at the First Christian Church, Dodge City, with Dusty Cookson officiating. Private family inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Friends may sign the register from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
