Lucy L. Craghead, 83, died at the Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore, KS.
She was born July 14, 1929 in Hodgeman County the daughter of Francis and Clara Schwab Hey Sr., a lifetime area resident, she was a cook in the Jetmore school district for 25 years and a homemaker.
She was of the Christian faith and a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Dodge City.
On April 25, 1946 she married Jesse J. Craghead at Jetmore, he died November 6, 1995.
Survivors include: a son, Larry Craghead (Debra), Dodge City; five daughters, Donna Hendrickson (Sam), Jetmore, Susan Harms (Dean), Pam Hamilton, Sandie Masden (David), all of Dodge City, Judy Nichols (Eldon), Hugoton; five sisters, Loretta Hiller and Gerry Stuckey, Jetmore, Mary Pitts, Garden City, Luella Fose, Wakeeney, Norma Jean Stegman, Dodge City; a brother, Francis Hey Jr., Jetmore; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Sinclair and Lorraine Hey and a brother, Kenneth Hey.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church with Carolyn Tarman presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
