University of Louisiana photography professor Jeremiah Ariaz Sept. 7 captures on camera the mournful and hollow atmosphere of the gutted building that was once the Dodge City Daily Globe newsroom. For decades this room was the heartbeat of the business and throbbed with energy from the constant action of producing a daily newspaper with a full staff. Ariaz then turned his artistic eye to a new Dodge City Globe newsroom that has embraced a paradigm shift in atmosphere. The new setting reflects the latest fashion in print journalism – that of uncensored and faithful hope for the unimaginably prosperous future of the industry.
