PARKER CO. – Rebecca Sue Katz, 72, died November 10, 2022, in Parker, Colorado. She was born May 9, 1950, in Kinsley, the daughter of Cleo and Frances Katz. She graduated from Kinsley High School in 1968, from Dodge City Community College School of Nursing, Dodge City, in 1970. She married Mark Kaltenbauch in 1972, they later divorced. She became the partner of Nellis Reinert in 1975, in Dodge City Kansas. She lived in Colorado Springs and Manitou Spring Colorado, later moving to Sun City West Arizona.

After becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse, she was employed for several years by Earl W. Shira, DDS in Dodge City. She later joined the staff of Paterson Dental, Denver Colorado, working as a dental equipment sales person and retired from the company having received many awards, including Dental Sales Person of the Year several times.

Becky attended the Assembly of God Church in Sun City West AZ. The major joys of her life included spending time with Nellis, her dog Bella, golfing and church activities. Her hobbies included singing with the Sweet Adelines while living in Dodge City, and working in her yard and flower gardens, reading, writing, collecting ink pens.

Survivors include: Nellis Reinert, Rancho Santa Margarita, California, a brother, Stan (Becky) Katz of Willis Texas; nieces Angela (Jason) Jackson and their son, Jake of Parker Colorado; Brianna (John) Lydic, Washington, D. C.; and Carin (Travis) Kelley and their children, April and Wyatt, Montgomery Texas; a sister, Jan (Alan) Ackerman of Colby Kansas; a nephew Dr. Christopher Bargmann (Lily) of Minneapolis Minn. and their children, Shepherd and Noelle; and niece Becca (Joel) Sowers of Colby Kansas and their daughters, Kaylyn and Haven; as well as many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Christian Henry (Bessie) Katz; Leroy (Florence) Warren, all of Kinsley, Kansas.

A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
