Dodge City – Alexander Espinosa, 84, died January 21, 2022, at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born on December 30, 1937, at Dodge City, the son of Alexander R. and Katherine (Delgado) Espinosa.
Alexander grew up in Dodge City, graduating from Dodge City High School. After high school, Alexander joined the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service.
Alexander enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He was one of those people who just left a positive impact on everyone he met.
He is survived by his son, Paul Espinosa and wife Jahna of Lawrence; and sister, Jane Moore and husband Leo of Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Katherine Espinosa; two daughters, Rachel Espinosa and Katherine Espinosa Woolwine; and sisters, Delores Briseno and Mary Ann Blanchett.
Memorial mass will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rudin Din presiding. Rosary will be at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 9:30 AM. lnurnment will take place on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in Fort Dodge.
