Last year, the Kansas State High School Athletics Association — which governs all high school sports in Kansas — adopted new rules intended to level competition between public and private schools in the state.

Eleven Red Demons qualify for state tournament
The Red Demon boys varsity wrestling team has traveled 3,746 miles this season, so when KSHSAA announced that the West 6A regional was being hosted at Topeka Washburn-Rural no one on the team batted an eye.
