Lady Demons continue WAC dominance

The Western Athletic Conference, considered one of the toughest if not the toughest girls wrestling conference in the state, featured the #1, #3 and #4 ranked teams in the state. The Lady Demons have not lost a WAC dual in three years.

Red Demon wrestlers go 4-2 in duals

The Dodge City Red Demons competed in six duals this past week finishing 4-2 on the week. Thursday they faced off against #2 ranked Garden City in the Battle for the Bell dual. The Buffaloes were able to keep the bell with a 53-11 victory over the Red Demons.

DCCC: Men’s basketball comeback falls short against Cowley

Looking to bounce back after a tough road loss the Dodge City men’s basketball team ran into a feisty Cowley Tigers team and would drop their second straight contest falling 79-74. The loss moves the Conquistadors to 14-5 on the season and 10-3 in KJCCC action, and the game is the tenth in the last 14 meetings with the Tigers that has been decided by single digits.

DCCC: National qualifying performance highlights track & field performance in first indoor meet of season

Dodge City track and field team opened the indoor season competing at the Northwest Open at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri competing against some top-notch competition. The Conquistadors were led on the day by a national qualifying performance as Brayden Bergkamp earned himself a trip to Topeka, Kansas in March to compete at the NJCAA Indoor Championships.

Tight race to the finish line

It was a tight race to the finish line for the Dodge City High School Red Demon basketball team Thursday, Jan. 19 when they took on the Derby High School Panthers, losing 53-58, the first day of the Tournament of Champions.
