The SPIAA Volleyball Coaches have met and selected their All League Teams for the 2022 Volleyball season. The league coaches gathered at the end of the season to nominate and vote on those players who are deemed worthy of receiving All League Honors.

As I listen to and see the vicious attack ads by the Republican Party may I remind our voters that our Governor, Laura Kelly inherited a huge mess! If voters will recall it was former Governor Brownback, supported by the Republican Party, who upset the child care/ foster care system. He is the one who changed the well-established and well-run department of Social Services SRS to the Department of Family and Children (DCF).
The Dodge City High School drama department will present the fall play, “I Don’t Have a Clue,” by Craig Sodaro, at 7 p.m. Nov.
Lyons-based chiropractor Seth Cordell is the Libertarian Party’s candidate for Kansas Governor on a limited government platform. Cordell believes the Democrat and Republican parties are pushing policies that will increase the size of government, resulting in less freedom.
For the second straight year, the Dodge City women’s soccer team took on the Butler Grizzles in the NJCAA Division I Midwest District playoffs opening round. Despite an early score for the Conquistadors, it was ultimately the fifth-ranked Butler Grizzles grabbing a 5-1 victory ending the Conqs season.
Dodge City volleyball team wraps up the regular season with a four-set win over Barton on the road earning the sweep over the Cougars for the first time since 2010. After dropping the first set to the Cougars the Conquistadors responded to take the next three and claim the 3-1 win (21-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20).
Dodge City women’s cross country for the third straight year placed fourth or higher at the Region VI Championships earning a third-place team finish this year behind five Top 30 individual finishes.
Dodge City men’s soccer hit the road for the first round of the Plains District playoffs and squared off with #18 Johnson County. The Conquistadors were looking to avenge an earlier season overtime loss to Johnson County but it was once again a penalty kick goal by the Cavaliers that was the difference in the match this time around also as Johnson County won 2-1.
