Dodge City volleyball team continued their stretch of road games to wrap up the regular season as they took on the Colby Trojans on Wednesday and earned a four-set win. The Conquistadors picked up the 3-1 win over Colby (25-23, 25-12, 18-25, 25-19) to improve to 20-8 on the season and 9-6 in KJCCC action.
Dodge City boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Lawrence Saturday, Oct. 29 for the Class 6A State Cross Country meet held at Rim Rock Farm.
Dodge City women’s soccer wrapped up the regular season at home taking on Cowley and fell 2-0 in the regular season finale. The Conquistadors loss moved them to 5-9-1 on the season as they now turn their attention to postseason play.
The Dodge City Red Demons football team fought hard this season but was unable to overtake a tough Washburn Rural squad at Bowen-Glaze Stadium in Topeka on Oct. 28 as Washburn Rural defeated the Red Demons by the count 36-0.
The Dodge City High School soccer team is headed to the quarterfinal round of the Class 6A state playoffs, following Thursday’s 10-0 win over eight-seeded Wichita North in the regional title game at Memorial Stadium.
