As Google Voice scam proliferates, Better Business Bureau offers advice

Among the many scams that always seem to be proliferating, there is one that has been successfully victimizing people online for several months. It targets those who post about things like a missing pet or those trying to sell household items – in other words, anyone posting an ad on one of the many online marketplace sites. Your Better Business Bureau (BBB) warns that fraudsters are tirelessly out to steal identities. Here’s how this scam works and how you can guard against it.

Open letter to the City Commissioners:

It is appalling to read of the decision made by you, our commissioners, to change the official newspaper from the Dodge City Globe to the Dodge City Website. This is discrimination against those do not have WiFi connections. This includes your constituents who are in longterm care settings as well as those in rural areas who do not have access to broadband.

DCCC: Men’s basketball caps historic season in Elite Eight of National Tournament

Dodge City men’s basketball team capped a historic season with a tough loss in the Elite Eight of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Hutchinson falling 92-74 to Northwest Florida State. The loss finishes the season at 30-5 for the Conquistadors as they cap a year filled with accomplishments including first KJCCC title since 2007, first Region VI title since 1982, and first trip to Hutchinson and National Tournament since 1974, while also setting a school record for wins in a single season with 30.
