Bessie Reimer, 71, died July 1, 2013 at Fowler Nursing Home. She was born November 12, 1941 in Ovid, Colorado to George and Ethel June (Norris) Mader. She was a former Liberal resident and had lived in Fowler since 1998. She was a secretary for the Liberal Hospital before moving to Fowler. She taught at the Fowler Grade School for many years. Bessie was a member of the Friends Church at Fowler and the Christian Motorcyclist Assn.
On August 12, 1960 she married David B. Reimer at Haxtun, Colorado. He
survives.
Other survivors are 2 sons: Kenneth of Broomfield, Colorado and Loren of Mead, Colorado; 3 sisters: Cindi Atwood of Meridan, Idaho, Linda Smith of New
Plymouth, Idaho, and Sharon Curley of Golden, Colorado. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Friends Church, Fowler, KS at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Ken Harder. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 4 at the Friends Church. Memorials are suggested to Circle of Hope or to the American Cancer Society c/o Minnis Mortuary, PO Box 459, Minneola KS 67865.
