DODGE CITY – Carolyn Kay Unruh, 83, died Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at SunPorch of Dodge City. She was born September 30, 1939 at Dodge City, the daughter of Carl and Paula (Garrison) Barrett. She was a custodian at Dodge City High School, a Nurses Aide at Good Sam’s in Dodge City and worked in the WIC Program at the Ford County Health Department. She enjoyed crocheting and doing Word Find puzzles. On March 23, 1956 she married LeRoy R. Unruh at Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2017.

Survivors include: 2 sons, Roy Unruh, Jetmore and David Unruh, Dodge City; 2 daughters, Patricia Martin and husband Donald, Dodge City and LeeAnn Olivarez and husband Ralph, Dodge City; a brother, Thomas Barrett, Myton, Utah; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Susan Johnson, a son-in-law, Gary Adams and a grandson, Michael Adams. Private family services will be held at a later date. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
