Dodge City High School Theatre students attended the 34th annual Sterling College Theatre Workshop last week. The event included two workshop session and a special matinee performance of the play Metamorphoses. Over 200 students from 16 schools across Kansas attended.
NEW YORK (AP) — For years, Amina Luqman-Dawson made time to write a children’s book she calls her “little quiet project,” a historical adventure about a community of escaped slaves that she completed while raising a son and working as a policy consultant and researcher on education and domestic violence.

As Boot Hill Museum has been home to the Kansas Cowboy Hall of Fame since 2002, this year is its 20th anniversary. Every year five or more legendary cowboys or cowgirls have been inducted into the hall of fame. This year the committee has chosen to select three men and two women of the American West into the Hall of Fame.
