Tax entities adopt Neighborhood Revitalization Plan

At a joint meeting Sept. 6 the Dodge City Commission, Ford County Commission, Dodge City USD 443 Board of Education and Dodge City Community College Board of Trustees each voted unanimously to approve an interlocal agreement to adopt the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan to encourage housing and commercial development in the neighborhood revitalization districts. The meeting took place in the USD 443 Administration Building.

Candlelight vigil remembers those who have passed

It has been a Dodge City tradition for five years now to provide an opportunity for locals to honor the passing of loved ones at a candlelight vigil at Wright Park. Elaine Hernandez, event organizer, invited guest speakers Richard Falcon with Compass Mental Health, Jimmy Jones with New Chance, Jamie Huse, Tamantha Freeman and Jennifer Thompson to speak at the vigil, as well as loved ones who wanted to share their stories.
