IRS: Aug. 31 deadline for Kansas heavy highway vehicles

Courtesy of the IRS The Internal Revenue Service is reminding an estimated 16,500 owners and operators of large trucks and buses in Kansas that it’s time to file Form 2290, Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Return. Those who have registered or are required to register a highway motor vehicle with a taxable gross weight of 55,000 pounds or more must file Form 2290 and pay the tax before Aug.

Koch Fertilizer to increase UAN production at Dodge City facility

USDA reminds Kansas livestock producers of available drought assistance

Courtesy of United States Department of Agriculture USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) reminds drought-impacted producers in Kansas that they may be eligible for assistance through the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honey Bees, and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP). ELAP provides financial assistance for water transportation and for above normal costs of transporting feed to livestock or transporting livestock to forage/ grazing acres.

DCCC: Esteban Cardoza-Oquendo joins baseball coaching staff

Mike Smith DCCC Sports Information Director The Dodge City baseball program makes an addition to the coaching staff as Esteban Cardoza-Oquendo joins the staff. After the first year under Head Coach, Brett Doe that saw the Conquistadors post a 28-27 record the Conqs look to take strides forward in year two under Coach Doe and he hopes the addition of Cardoza-Oquendo will help the Conqs move forward with now three coaches on staff.
