BBB says train yourself to spot deepfake scams

“Deepfake” technology has been in the news for some time now. Inevitably, scammers have come up with ways to use it to steal from and deceive businesses and individuals alike. The technology makes it difficult to discern whether video and audio clips are real. As the software used to make deepfakes has become more widespread, viewers are tricked by images of people that have been digitally manipulated to say and do whatever the scammer wants.
