Family Outdoor Recreation sponsored a fireworks giveaway at five locations in honor of Independence Day, including Hodgeman County High School cheerleader’s stand and The Snow Cone Shop in Jetmore, A&A Fireworks in Dodge City and The Boom Box in Cimarron. Fall programming on Dodge City Public Library horizon

Howdy from the Dodge City Public Library! We hope you have enjoyed our summer program thus far but hold on to your hats because we are already planning some great things for fall! As our summer program winds to a close, there are several fun things you can still join us for before the school year starts. We will be hosting our own Buckaroo Bash, loaded with games, fun prizes and more on July 15 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Day 15, Kansas Wheat harvest report

This is day 15 of the Kansas Wheat Harvest Reports, brought to you by the Kansas Wheat Commission, Kansas Association of Wheat Growers and the Kansas Grain and Feed Association. Kansas farmers made significant progress completing wheat harvest in the last week, including many who spent the holiday weekend in a combine cab.
