Better Business Bureau warns that military scammers are always on active duty

Sometimes overlooked amongst the cookouts, long weekend travel, and the holiday atmosphere of Memorial Day, is its true intention: remembering those who have lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military. Your Better Business Bureau (BBB) seeks to recognize the men and women who continue the tradition of defending our country through military service. BBB also shines a light on the many underhanded ways that scammers target military members and their families.

DCCC releases Spring 2022 Honor Rolls

Dodge City Community College announced the spring 2022 President’s and Vice President’s Honor Rolls. President’s Honor Roll Students selected for the President’s Honor Roll must maintain a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.8 or above on a 4.0-scale and must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester.

USDA Announces Signup for the Commodity Container Assistance Program

WASHINGTON —Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will begin accepting applications for the Commodity Container Assistance Program (CCAP) which currently includes a partnership with the Port of Oakland in California and the Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), which is a marine cargo operating partnership between the Port of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma in Washington State. Ongoing market disruptions have created logistical challenges associated with the availability and flow of shipping containers to transport agricultural commodities, which has prevented or delayed American-grown agricultural commodities from reaching their markets.
